When someone posted that Cabela's was selling the B&C S30V below for 39.00 a year or so back I bought one. I skinned and quartered a doe this year and it performed great, the sheath sucks. Dave

I have a flayer, and one that is similar to the shorty, but it has a different name and can't think of the name off the top. I traded a custom built knife straight across for it...because I know how good they are. My set in the pic...[that is a shorty in the pic] my other one isn't in the pic. cranky72 Campfire Regular C Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 891	I think that set had different alloys for the blades. fairly sure they used m2 in one or more of the small pattern. anyway I tried to sharpen on a carborundum & it just cut the stone. no diamonds at that time. cranky72
