We'll I could see how the Winston could work. But I am lost on that one. But you know there had to be a market or these guys would not have wasted their time. I guess.

The quality of the work looks pretty dang good.

This maker actually calls it a squirrel knife. You put the squirrel's leg in the notch, break the bone, then cut through the break instead of using the cutting edge to go through the bone.

Yep, and it works like a charm.

Could I get by without it...? Yep.
Is it kinda cool to have anyway...? Yep.

Might be handy for cutting fishing line;) but it's not for me.

It is well executed and a nice knife though. To each his own.

That is actually really cool. I've been skinning tree rats for over 50 years and never gave anything like that a thought. I guess I just don't have a creative mind frown

Now how can we fawn over your new Winston when you have not posted a picture?

Be kind and get it done!

Hope to get back to posting soon. Been pretty swamped for
A good while. New computer and new photo program so I
Don't expect great success for a while. Trying to figure it out.
Still poke my head in here a good bit though to see what everybody
Is up to. Thanks to everyone for making this place what it is.

Bad enough to have to lean new stuff at my age but to learn it and then have to learn it again sucks

Thanks. I have been most of the day getting a couple of pictures and then figuring how to get them posted. My photo host and the Campfire keep logging me off. Don't know if it is them or my computer.

These knives are for the "Catch A Dream Foundation". A nice group of people that are doing good things for kids. If anyone is interested you can see what they are doing here:
www.catchadream.org

Their mission is to provide hunting and fishing trips for children who have life threatening illness. A once in a lifetime for a chance to get out and enjoy something for a few days besides something connected to a hospital.

I am glad to have been given a chance to be affiliated with this group.

Not here to raise funds but they can use donations, no matter how small.
