shot a 250# pig last night with my 24" .375JDJ ; range about 50 yards, hog was quartering towards me, hit right on the point of the shoulder, went through him lengthwise, skipped off the spine & it came to rest under the skin of the offside back leg...232.4grains retained weight. bullet performed well....

What was the initial velocity?

Here's two I took from a small bull moose fired from a 375 Chatfield-Taylor. That Chatfield/Taylor is an awesome round. I'd like to rebarrel one of my rifles to that one of these days. Then maybe I will have a good use for all this 338 win mag brass I have
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Then maybe I will have a good use for all this 338 win mag brass I have The CT really was a good round in the days when the original short mags were created to fit into a M98, but in reality it does not offer much over the 375H&H and 375Ruger other than being something a little different. Brass is easier to get for it, that is true. I do like mine. It has been a lucky rifle for me with three moose and a B&C mountain caribou to it's credit.

Starting velocity? Expanded diameter??
X-VERMINATOR
Sooner or later our heritage of hunting is going to be a rich mans sport and the words "Outfitter" and "Hunt Industry" will be synonymous with cancer and A.I.D.S. among blue collar hunters like me and my family! (A.L. Williams - 2010)
