Ruger Model 77 RL Ultralight in .308 Win. Blued/walnut.

This is 1983 one owner rifle. It is the relatively rare Ultralight model with featherweight-style stock with thinly contoured forend with black ebonized rosewood cap and 20" featherweight contour barrel (.500 muzzle). $600 OBO

It is a very light nice handling gun (my favorite) but have always hated to hunt it in Alaska because of wet weather. Replaced it with synthetic Kimber Montana and it's time to find a good home for it in a drier climate or with someone who won't mind knocking it around a bit and will actually hunt with it.

I love mine. It weighs 6 pounds on the nose.

I just got a Kimber Montana in .308. Did you get the caliber?

Nope, found a great deal on a 7-08 and just couldn't pass it up. Luckily, it seems to shoot.

Thanks. I agree - they are nice guns. Hopefully someone who can appreciate them and will put them to good use will get them.

Hadn't even thought about it. A .257 is an interesting thought. My problem is I'm afraid I'd just let it sit in the safe because of the wood stock.

Let me consider for a bit. PM me with info on your rifle and the type of trade you're considering. Straight up rifle for rifle?

Same here. Three shots touching with my new Kimber at 100 yrds. Can't ask for much more than that. Guess we got some lucky ones. laugh Anyways enough of me messing up your post. If my wife didn't already have a 308 as well I'd be all over this gun for her.

Bump laugh

Straight up would suit me fine. I'd pay a little boot if your rifle is in better condition than mine.

I'm in Anchorage, where in AK are you?
