I've said it before and here it is again.
173 yards Sucks 243ai 105 a-max. Dead elk.
This rifle is a flat out killer........
Travis, where did you hit the Elk and did it pass through? I'm not Travis, but I'll give it a go.  High shoulder and no. It stopped in the bottom of the spine. The animal never took another step. Who the hell is Travis? I am glad I stocked up on 105's, wished I had done the same with 75's.

I've read right here that a 243 is barely big enough for deer. You must have been reading wrong.I've been reading here that .243 won't kill a deer period. I'm a slow learner.

Yea it just isn't worth the cost of re barrel to me. The rifle is extremely accurate as is and I'm happy with the 95 gr bst.
