Got a 8-57RS out of the back row that I never shot much. I will try some 150's in it again and some 180 Noslers. It's the rifle at the top of this picture.
All guns should be locked up when not in use!

After years of chasing big bores, I'm going the other direction this year. I came to realize that I am woefully under stocked with varmint rifles. I recently was able to procure three left handed Charles Daly actions still in the white. Two of them are going to Pacnor next week for barreling. One will be a 17 Remington which will reside in a nice walnut stock, one I just picked up from Walnut Grove Gunstocks. The other will be a 6mmx222 with a #1 contour barrel and a 1/12 twist and will go to MPI for one of their stocks.
The two rifles will make up my primary fur calling rifles. I opted for the 6mmx222 over the 6x45 because the Daly action is pretty short and the 6x45 would require the bullets, especially anything 85 grains and heavier to be seated very deep in the case. The 222 case is a much better fit for the action.
If time and money allow, the third action will become a short little mannlicher stocked 222. Kind of a walking varminter. If I can find a good deal on a right handed Zastava mini or a Charles Daly right handed action, I'll build a similar rifle in 221 Fireball for my wife.

Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Rem 700 chunk 300 Win Mag in a A5 or chassis stock and a 375 H&H on a Model 70 action for this year. I should have the 300 done first as I already got the donor/rifle on hand.

Just picked up a mint Sako 75 Hunter in .22-250. Sold off the stock, scope and rings, now into the barreled action for $500. McMillan on order, leupold rings and VXII 6x36 LR here now.
Going to ring her out for a bit, then decide on a faster twist for heavier bullets, maybe in .22-243 Middlestead...:)

After a few years in progress, my extended tang 416 Rigby on an Enfield should be done this month. My 220 Russian MiniMauser is having the finishing touches done on it this month. The Dodge City Police Dept. recovered my custom 40X rimfire metal work. Sorry scum lost my custom scope bases and took a pipe wrench to the barrel. If I have any money left I will get started on my Light Weight Pierce Titanium receivered 280AI.

Building a Win 52C sporter clone from a Target 52C. Lilja sporter contour barrel Lyman 48F receiver sight and front ramp sight with hood Piece of English walnut duplicated to match an original C stock with Monte Carlo rollover
Maybe a 40X sporter next if I can find an action. Hate to cut up my 40X target as it shoots sooo well right now. Butch, want to sell your recovered action? PM me.
Bob
