Asking those experienced with Buehler Micro Dial scope mount for their opinion of this mount. How is it adjusted for elevation (I can see this is accomplished with the dial and flexing the mount) is this easily done? Can anyone copy a set of mounting/adjusting instructions for me? Thanks in advance for your help.

I've used Buehler Micro-Dial mounts with B&L Bal-series scopes that required a mount with windage and elevation adjustments. They are similar to the old Redfield Junior/Senior turn-in mounts, except the front ring isn't cammed into base, rather it is sort of free floating. I've used them on Mauser 98s, Remington 700 series, Savage 99s, and Winchester 70 and think that they are a good, more rigid, mount for the Bal-series scopes. Better in every way than the Leupold Adjusto-Mounts and more rigid than the B&L mounts. There is a thin, hooked shaped, wrench that is used to adjust and lock the elevation, windage is adjusted like the Redfield turn-in.
I have some Buehler sales literature and instructions somewhere, but the somewhere is probably on a shelf in my storage locker, not easily accessible.

My first scope was a BalVar 8, back in the 1950s and I used a Buehler Microdial. The mount kept zero perfectly for many years.

Nice set up Yukoner, I've got the same for a pre 64 Winchester, need to find the proper screw for the rear of the mount though, wasn't there when I bought the package.

Gunner, are they different than those used in the Leupold/Redfield/Millett/etc bases?
I thought they all used the same adjustment screws. Ted

GW..I have one on a custom 98 in 7x61 S&H. Agree with everything said about it being better than the Leupold adjusto mount or The B&L`s. The elevation is easy to adjust and it is rock solid. Wish I could locate a couple more to swap out some B&L`s on other rifles.Like 260Remguy I have some literature somewhere???? The top wheel on rear mount is the adjuster, bottom one locks it. Joe
