Could you imagine that....being splattered with "gruff stuff"?

Just disassembly, douching out, reassembly and scope swapping. No worries. I'm also unfortunately sober. HTF does that even happen?

Dog Hunter, don't those little S.O.B.'S really pi$$$ a guy off.. Last fall about 30 of them came out of a brush filled creek bottom, ran into the brush on the other side of the two track, and that was the last I saw of them.. I sometimes think, if I ever catch a covey dead to rights, I'll give them both barrels right on the grounds.. Revenge would be sweet..

Yes they do Wyo. I've taken a lot of chuckar on the wing, but I am not above sluicing them when given the chance.

Keith, count on it. We chase them from early May to about July 15th, then reload the boat and move it to Manistee for salmon.

Hunts, I can agree with your sentiment man. Your AO has you surrounded by endless beautiful land and year round shooting opportunities. Here we get some deer hunting, bear is an unlikely draw and elk is an impossible draw. We have mediocre ducks...and an occasional varmint chance. What we do have is 1/6 of the worlds fresh water.....so we use it to our best...:)

BD, I agree with you....I never backpacked anywhere that didn't involve a uniform and someone telling me I wasn't doing it fast enough. Things always looked better from above.

You'll remember the creek next time there's a flood and you have to fix fence....grin

Are those Chuckar kinda like Huns only faster?

Huns still scare the chit outta me at least once a year. Walk for an hour or two and nothing..... Then all of a sudden 20 Huns launch at your feet and are gone before you even have time to raise the shotgun.

Speaking of pork...

Have the 400 Whelen ready for another pork excursion and the influx of Schlitz cans and bottles in Oklahoma once again will hit an annual high.

Ph-ucking them up with a two four extree of Tall Boys....

Yeah, they're partridges.. Love to run straight up rocks and cliffs. The [bleep] the conditions, the better they do.

Ground sluicing grouse with a bow in September is my 2nd favorite thing to do.

Plus they make great fajitas.

Does stabbing count as hunting?

Was walking up a draw once when I heard a peculiar scrritching sound. Looked over and there were some chukars climbing some vertical rim rock with their beaks and claws. Dumbasses don't know they got wings...grin.
