Not really up on the Marlin sight but aren't the ones you listed more like what is on the Savage 1895 with the screw in the face. There is also a Ballard sight that was used that has little points out the side at the bottom rear. I think I've seen them on Marlins and a couple of Savage 1895's.

Looks too short to me. Poor condition too. Your gun deserves better.

Just as a hint.. easier to find yourself a Lyman 1A and just replace that rear sight with a blank. Peep sights are awesome anyway.

Like this 32-40.

Impossible to find scope mounts...I give up.

Does anyone have, or know where, I can find a set of mounts/rings to fit these holes?

That is how the old Weaver U and Q model rings mounted. The U series is for 1" scopes and the Q is for 3/4".

I have a set of the 1" for the 99. Do you know what threads are tapped into the receiver? Probably #6-40 but could be #6-48.

Really, so they exist...wow, I was beginning to doubt it. The threads are the same as the factory drilled tang sight; it's a 1940 99G.

Are you willing to part with them?

Thanks again for the help.

Well, the threads are #8-40 then. You see all kinds. It was whatever the driller had a mind to do I guess.

Yes, I'd part with a set. Let's move this to the private message exchange. Look for a flashing red envelope near the top center of the screen.

Hello,

I'm a newbie here. Was referred by a friend. I shoot a 99A in 250-3000 and recently bought one in .243 Winchester which arrived (drum roll) with a cracked butt stock.
I know Boyd's and others make repros. I'm looking to source an original carbine/straight grip stock if anyone knows a source.
I know it's like pulling teeth, just turning over rocks and hoping to come across the little old lady with a whole closet full of them.

Hello, I am new to this, but I need the trigger guard, magazine box, spring and follower for a Savage 1920 bolt action rifle. I have a nice rifle but none of the lower "guts". Can anyone help me?
