Sweet! Even the GF is into hockey now. She's never been to a game but wants to. Ifigure it can't get much better than a Wild playoff game to start off.

Good morning everyone!

Fluffy-congrats on the new job! It's always good to hear that someone is excited about their job and made a good move.

I'm surprised nobody has asked Dave about all the hard work Ol' Yeller has done lately....I'm sure he has some pictures. grin

Good Day Maam', I met ol' Yeller on the highway after dark last night. must have went back for the fish house again. i seen some pics. looks pretty wild out on the lake after these last few weeks of blowing.

It is a silly fish that is caught twice with the same bait!

Old yeller has seen a lot of action the past 2 nights.

Out of retirement and put to hard work on frozen Lake of the woods MN.

Chained up, growlin and howlin, old yeller performed a retrieval rescue for our big tandem axle ice fishing house last night. It looked to be impossible, recent storms have left hundreds of ice fishing houses stranded far out on the lake. The drifting winds erased any existing ice roads, plugged them shut. And the berms from the previous ice roads make plowing nearly impossible.

Herd to explain all that took place last night but you'll just have to trust me, it was impressive. lol!

Here's the truck and fish house safely parked on a new ice road after the rescue.

And here's the new fishing spot, room for the house and a truck.

Old Yeller, the Timex of trucks. "Takes a licking, but keeps on ticking".

Like to have seen a video of what you and that truck went through Dave. Would have made a great commercial for Ford.

24* above here this morning, but up to 5" of new snow expected to start shortly.

It was 26* when I started on my way to work this morning. Snow was a flyin. 22 miles and 2 hours and 40 minutes later I got here. It's now 16*. Isn't winter great?!?

Man I was starting to thikn Dave had retired and was just vegetating. I hadn't seen a picture of the fish house, old Yeller or anything forever. Good to see he is still active.Need more updates, lost of fishing pics ant the like. I'm off today so I think I will take a short nap and then bore some holes in my pond and see if I can catch a few gills. Been way below 0 all week and I finally got enough ice to try it. It is supposed to get to almost 30 today so I picked up some maggotsnd wax worms on the way home. Let you know later how it went.

Nearly 3 hours to go 22 miles? Either traffic was at a standstill or you drove in reverse. smile

Snowing here too. Back to below zero at night for us for at least 4 days. According to the weatherman we've had 33 below zero days so far this winter. The record was 46 set in 2008. Looks like we've got a good shot at breaking the record.

I had the best commute EVER today. [/sarcasm]

I did get to laugh at the people who don't understand how a 4WD vehicle helps in snow.....and, more importantly, how it DOESN'T help....

Still running on borrowed time with the old clutch.

I just drive it like it's got a bad clutch, lots of low gear operating. grin

Bet your trip home wont be fun either. Stopped snowing around 2:30 here. We got 4.5".

The wife and I have it all cleaned up. Didn't wont to wait as temps are going to be dropping to the sub zero range tonight.

What a workout my Toro has gotten this year.
