I've never used a BT but I've recently tried Accubonds. I was using 160 partitions but they're $50 a box up here now. On moose rib shots there were all pass tbroughs (no surprise) from 130 to 300 yards.

The only moose I've taken with an Accubond so far was 250 yards and quartered away. Hit in the ribs, passed through the lungs and heart and lodged in the far side elbow. I didn't bother digging out the bullet.

Small entry wound and very little meat damage in the far quarter, if any. Text book performance IMHO. Moose coughed and dropped.

MV was 2925 fps and it was a 160 grain. I love 'em.

I have shot two elk with 160 grain Nosler Partitions, both were about 175 yards, first one was shot with a 7mm RM quartering away, bullet hit behind the left shoulder and came out the brisket the size of a tennis ball, the elk ran 40 yards and died, blood all over. The second elk was shot with a 7mm Weatherby Mag, broadside, shot went high just under the spine, took out dorsal artery, he went 5 yards and stood there long enough for me to shoot him again behind the should causing him to drop and die, no bullets recovered, big exit holes.

Yeah, I get pretty good accuracy at that velocity so I decided not to push it any further.

At the ranges I normally hunt, trying to squeeze another few hundred fps out of it won't do much good I feel.

Definitely works for me!
