Beautiful rifle you have there!
It seems to be nearly unique though and thus is extremely hard to put a value on.
This is one rifle that needs the services of a professional firearms appraiser IMO.
Sorry I couldn't help.

Nice, too nice to hunt with though. I'd guess 3k and my guess is based on a guess. Ken

I had roughly the same number in mind but it could be well off the mark.

If you are in a pinch to sell it, I bet I could borrow 2k of my own money from my wife. Ken

Notice I didn't say if I was buying or selling Actually I do not own this fine rifle, but a friend of mine does. He will be selling it shortly, but as you have pointed out, it is unique, and therefore difficult to price. Any additional comments on it's value are welcome. Thanks

Hey guys,
I'm the owner of this fine rifle. I asked my friend hwgtyd to post it up for me because he is known around here.
Well anyways I'm considering selling this rifle now and am looking for reasonable offers. If you'd prefer to PM me I'll be sure reply. As posted earlier I've never shot this gun.
If you have any questions or are interested please let me know. If I don't get much interest here I'll probably put it up on GB.
Thanks, Chad

Chad - is the gold inlay engraved into the metal? Sauer made a high-end engraved reciever and blued barrel with some matching engraving, they were running about $4500 to $10K depending on wood grade and caliber. I have a couple basic Sauers and would suggest posting it on "BlaserBuds.com" for a price check as they a seperate Sauer 200/202 board. I had help on pricing from several of the members there. You have a nice rifle and a very hard to find model. Good Luck!

It is going to be hard to set a price on a gun of that grade, but generally, Sauer 200/202 rifles don't bring much on the open market. I have seen really clean 200's go for less the $1000 and 202's that won't bring $1500.
I have owned a three or four 202's, and they are great gun but just don't have much of a following in the US.

A standard 200 like that will fetch $2000 all day on GB.

It's back up on gun broker. High bid is currently at 1500 with 14 hours left. No reserve! Search for "Sauer 200"
Thanks!
