I've been to Lake Guerrero for bass fishing and seven pound bass are the normal catch there. It's too bad that Mexico has gone to pot. White wing dove hunting in Mexico was a blast too but sadly,it's gone now too.

I remember hearing about a new bass destination, El Salto, in about 2000. Bass were introduced a few years earlier and starting to get in the 10lb range. Bet they are well into the teens now.
I used to drive down to Baccarac, we'd take bass boats and tent camps, 18 hours, some mountain dirt rds, real 'old mexico', super bass fishing.
Biggest bass I've caught was at the lake 15 minutes from my house though.

There's only one thing I want to see in mehico all the illegals in America getting booted out the tail gate of a flying boxcar over Mexico City at 10,000 feet.

Is that the lake where the messican dope dealers killed that guy on the jet ski?

So,is Sinola really safe enough for Americans to fishing in? Doubt I'd drive that far down with my boat... probably as safe as any third world fishing destination where you pay to be catered as a tourist. Kent

Ain't no bass in the world worth driving through that drug infested place, and taking the chance of getting your head cut off. 10 years ago, maybe. Today, not a chance in hades'.

Is that the lake where the messican dope dealers killed that guy on the jet ski? No, that was Falcon Lake, on the TX/MX border near Laredo.
