6.5x55? 100 yards max? You want dead deer with a pass through and finding a bullet is really an issue?

Like others have suggested, load up a 125 Partition or a 130 Accubond. Or a TTSX or a GMX.

Then go find something else to mentally masturbate about.

It's good to connect with you again.

When I want to the Midway page I found them "out of stock-no reorder."

Yep, 125 NP will take them and leave an exit. I currently have 88 of them left. My gun shoots them really well.

To get to 3000fps puts the pressures higher than I'm comfortable with and it is, in my opinion, in the premium bullet league. Been around for many a year and as a hunting bullet it probably can't be beat. For what I am attempting to accomplish it just doesn't qualify.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Jim

Jim,

Midway says those bullets, 120CL, are overdue. Perhaps they will be in-stock soon.

Thanks for checking. I definitely will keep watching for them.

On Tuesday (03/11) we will be abandoning the Upstate winter to make a month long trip to Florida. I'll intentionally have little access to key board and PO is holding my mail. Hope they are available in April. I have plenty of bullets that will kill deer. It's just that I have set a goal and sure would think lesser of myself if a good effort was not expended reaching it.

My saying, "If you aim at nothing you will probably hit it."

Thanks again.

Jim,

I have long roots in Upstate (Auburn and Weedsport). I get up there fairly often, at least every year or two.

My Mom and SD still have a place up there and go every summer. Can't blame them to beat the heat and humidity. They have had to go up several times this winter and it's been brutal. I bet you are looking forward to getting away from it.

Nice and sunny about 70* low humidity here.

Where bouts in Fl are you headed?

Near Tampa.

Yeah we have had a little snow this year. The deer have eaten the shrubs down around the house. There were five about thirty feet from the house at noon today. Big ole buck among them. They actually looked pretty good. Winter kill hasn't hit too hard here. Cracked corn?

Best to you.

I don't use the 120g Core-lokt so don't know all the places that stock it. MidwayUSA stocks it, when they can get them.

Thanks AZR,

It appears that the usual places where I buy bullets have been sold out and indicate no back orders taken. They don't show on the Rem web site either.

Appreciating your contributions to this thread.
