I'm 55 and last year did a DIY by myself. 4th rifle at 10,000 feet. I live here, and have property where I hunt and got there three days early. I still got hypoxia the first day (along with getting lost) and the third day coming down the mountain in the dark, in a blizzard with 20-40 mph winds, I broke my left leg as I slipped off a snow covered rock I didn't see. No one to help just me and my 55 pound pack. It wasn't pretty getting back to the camper. If I had the money, I'd certainly go guided. At our age if you can't go in a group, guided really is the only way to go.

First two years I lived here I hunted with Hooker Mountain Outfitters out of Hayden Colorado. It was a good time, and if my finances would of held, I'd be there every year.
