I read somewhere that if all human source carbon emissions stopped today, world-wide, the earth would continue to heat up and would not cool down for a 1000 years. This assumes man-made carbon emissions are the cause of the warming.
In other words, reducing emissions is 100% pointless. What we should be focusing on is adapting or strategies to cool the earth (if one believes in anthropocentric warming).

MM that last guys name is pronounced as a W, instead of an R... like Elmer Fudd would say it... Harry WEED.... I thought Kerry was a jerk way back in the 70s, when you have a Naval Officer, doing all this protesting against Vietnam... Don't even mention his name to my step dad....unless you have 3 hours to listen to a continual hate speech against Kerry.. He served in Special Ops during Vietnam, as an Air Force O5, flying unmarked Black Bird C 130s, along with some other stuff he won't talk about... he worked with Oliver North among other folks.... He hates Kerry, but his biggest gripe is that NO ONE could win 3 Purple Hearts in 90 days, especially serving where Kerry did... and he has been bitching about that, since Kerry's war protesting post Naval Career.... He thinks Kerry is a bigger traitor to this nation than even Obama...
