A friend is considering using G3 Outfitters for a New Mexico elk hunt. Any experiences, good or bad, to relate?

Any suggestions for other outfitters? He is looking for 330 or up. He does not have much experience and hopes to learn from the guide while getting a good elk.

many thanks.

I didn't see the first 330 bull in their 2011 pics and nothing loaded in 2012....nope...would not go there...for the most part it looked like puny bulls to me. The prices being charged for most of their elk hunts ($4500) would lead one to believe you would be shooting 260-280 bulls.

There are better places for larger bulls in NM.

Vermejo, Lodge At Chama, UU Bar....I'd be calling those places. They fill up very quick though. Probably no openings for 2014 now...but it's worth a call.

You only live once, but...if you do it right, once is enough.
