I'm sure it's a nicely done publication.
However much has changed in the High Sierra since 1991 as well as in alot of other places in Kalifornia.
I've used other fishing guides that had great things to say about high country lakes only to learn that they were barren a few years later due to heavy winter conditions which often kill off the fish.
Then there are those which get infested with Tui Chub, or catfish. One of my favorite lakes no longer produces great brookies because of a Tui Chub infestation. That only took a few years to happen. E

It's mostly a general guide - no real mention of drainages, streams, rivers or lakes by name, save for a distribution chart consisting of bodies of water that combines data from the Departments of Fish and Game, USGS, and Department of Water Resources. As that data is almost 25 years old, a quick online search would yield more up to date information. However, without that chart, there are ton of places you'd probably overlook...

I like the fish and fly illustrations, too. I used to hike and fish a bit in high country, not much lately as I am stuck in low country for another year or two.
