I happened across one yesterday and was impressed with its first strike double action trigger pull. I have been pondering to buy another 45ACP something that did not carry a Kimber price tag but would be a decent range gun and could be carried from time to time. Seemed like a nice gun but I have never owned one. I am also looking at a SIG 227, which is a few hundred dollars more but about a pound lighter!

I'd love to have a CZ 97B, 45 ACP, semi-auto pistol ... It would be kind'a like having a big Hi-Power - on steroids! Link, CZ 97B Review: http://www.gunsandammo.com/cz-97-b-review/

The CZ is a big, somewhat heavy pistol. They are very nice, perfectly reliable, accurate, and SMOOTH shooting.

I kind of liked it but have no idea on earth why I need it. NO rail on it and I don't even think you can put laser grips on it.

I really like the CZ pistols.
They are quite large though. Little too big for my beaters.

I've got a 97B, and love it. But like you said, trigger reach is a stretch. Had it over a decade now, don't see myself selling it. Damn comfortable to shoot.

CZ is a great gun. I owned on in 9mm and it shot 100% of the time and was the most comfortable grip I've ever felt. They are supposed to be nice and accurate too. All steel and Thumb safety.
I owned one sig and it was a 1911. Never malfunctioned. My buddy owns some sigs too and never had any problems with them.
The only thing about the CZ's is they can be hard for people without a strong grip to rack the slide because there is less of it there to grab.
