Been a long time since I have been to a pin shoot (a spectator) but they are fun to watch. The first one I went to was in East Texas at Maud and guess who was there? Jerry Miculek. That man (very young) at that time could shoot & still can. He nearly always won fast table and nearly always right at or under 2 seconds to clear the table. Amazing to just hear him shoot that revolver, it actuall sounded like someone firing an automatic and I don't mean a semi-auto.

That would have been awesome to see that!! I can't imagine the speed someone would have to have to take 5 pins off a table in 2 seconds. Pretty incredible...

The tables we shoot pins off of are steel, double deck.3 pins set on the front edge of a 4'X8 table. 2pins on the top deck. All pins must be knocked off the table,to the floor.

The picture is fro 50' back. The firing line is 25' in front, so the pin/tables are shot at 25'

Thanks for posting the pictures Jamie. Like the double deck setup, can't imagine what it would cost to build though with steel being so high.

Wood tables get shot up pretty fast.
Waders built these for a 24hour campfire getogether a couple of years ago.

The tables must be solid enough to take a few 45acp rounds without shaking and knocking over all the pins.
The club I shoot at started with wood tables that have a piece so steel around the front edge to deflect bullets, theses tables have held up well.

Jamie are the legs made from 4x4"s and 2x4" cross beams, and 4x8' plywood for surface? Maybe a piece of 3/8" steel mounted at an angle on the front edge would be a good idea to prolong top surface life.

If you send waders a pm,I'd bet he's got better pictures. The frame, legs, and cross braces are all 2x4, the top is a sheet of 1/2" plywood.
