Went up to the ranch to pull my boat out of the barn and shot a bunch of gophers while I was there. The ground is still pretty wet down in the bottoms and they were really out in force up on the side hills and tops. Shot some with my glock 17 and 77/17 mach 2. Forgot to bring the 17 hornet along.

Gophers were out on the snow. making it the perfect day in the field, trying to eradicate the gophers on local ranches. They were losers all they way around...

How did you know? I did whack a few with the 22-250 Sako Deluxe I got in Kalispell last weekend. It is a real shooter also, this is a less fortunate gopher at the pointy end of a 50 grain V-max at about 3600 FPS...
