Good day.

This might look like a stupid question and not sure if it is the norm. How much do you adjust loads from summer to winter? Or do you stick with a single load and deal with the velocity loss or gain by simply adjusting your scope accordingly?

A lot of that depends on the powder you choose, and how sensitive it is to temperature. All I do is try to stick with Hodgdon "Extreme" powders, and not worry about it. That, and ignore drop data from times when it's anomalously hot.

I try to do my load work when it's in the forties. The winters may be long around here, but it's seldom colder than twenty above during deer season.

If I hunted during the summer, I'd do my load work in the high seventies/lower eighties. That's as hot as I care to hunt.
