It will be a carry coyote rifle only in a sporter weight! I can count on one hand the number of times that I have fired more than 4 in a row shooting coyotes. As for barrel life if you shoot 100 coyotes a year that would be 5-7 years before you needed to rebarrel. Unfortunately I have a job and dont get to hunt for a living so 10 years is going to be more realistic. Like having a funny car in the garage just take it out on the weekend and kick some azz then drive the pickup during the week.

Your 22-243 AI is really close in capacity to the 22-6mm and the 223 WSSM. Look up pressure tested data for these cases, and you'll see where you need to be. 22-6 data is available in the new Hornady manual, 223 WSSM is even available online through Hodgdon.

The 6-284 should beat 55 grain 243 Win loads by 100-150 fps or so.

I say "should" because if you are using antiquated methods of estimating pressure, such as "reading primers", you will likely be running at higher pressure levels than comparable pressure tested rounds.

I'm shooting a slow twist 6-284 with 70 BT's a just over 3800. It does swat coyotes. I have been thinking about trying some 55's in it but the 70's are just too much fun.
