Gunbroker has several to choose from. DPMS / SR-25 pattern lowers are everywhere.

Maybe because they produce more than a few rifles a year?

Maybe because they produce more than a few rifles a year? Or they can't sell them and they have surplus parts available? Remington is really on the outs for any gun they make. I hear more complaints about their crappy QC and workmanship than any other gun maker.

Could be but I see more dpms 308's than RR's if that says anything.
Of course I'll never own any 308 AR again.
But you are correct about Remington, I have them scratched off my list as well.

You see more DPMS/SR-25 style receivers because thats what is driving the market. Aftermarket options are better than for the AR-10. Of course I'll never own any 308 AR again.
Bad experience?

I like to run things a little hot but the autos won't allow me to get what I want out of a 308 besides I have no use for one now.
I see lighter versions are becoming available and hope they tune em up right, they just don't interest me.

I got ya. They do tend to run better with mild loads. I have shot mine out to 1000 yards with 178's and really was impressed with how well it performed. It kept up with and beat several of the bolt guns on the line. However, I do plan on having a lightweight 6.5 Creedmoor barrel turned for it to better cope with the wind.
