There are several around here that don't need a ton of someone else's "data" to know when a rifle is right or wrong. Some already have "one of everything" and some are working on it. And we've seen some guns from the 20's with perchbellies, and we've seen some early guns that sold much later, and we've seen guns that went back for factory work. And we've seen guns with swapped parts. I'm guessing Fug ain't buying guns with swapped parts too often, so probably they shipped late or went back for factory work. “The Savage 99 Pocket Reference”.
