What a super rifle. I have to ask what the other, higher priced option was.

Same identical gun, minus the tang sight and with a little less condition. I have to say that the other 1899 250-3000 was also VERY nice.

One of the "Guy had 2 of them" was the "other" gun I mentioned. It just wasn't as nice as this one and the price was steeper than this one.

Yeah. He was pretty proud of both of them.

One was right the other wasn't

way to go LBK very nice , you seam to have a gun magnet for the good ones, I think its called coin and contacts grin

250s seam to be coming out of the woodwork I've bought 6 this last month and sold 4, kept an original 183xxx with checkered trigger just a little less nice than yours and a 1950 EG which
is perfect except for those side drilled holes on the top of the reciever cry condition was to nice to pass for now.

I don't know whose guns I was looking at, but I've never seen a factory perch belly 1899 250-3000 with a raised ramp front sight.

Have you? confused confused

What MIGHT be next is that some around here remember that if you haven't something decent to say, say nothing at all. There are several around here that don't need a ton of someone else's "data" to know when a rifle is right or wrong. Some already have "one of everything" and some are working on it. Don't worry, be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile smile

Sounds like one of DGF's and two of Foglio's Model 250-3000 have replacement (or modified) .250 barrels. Is that not correct? They are what they are. I see nothing wrong with stating the facts.

Yep.. Fug even says one has a 24" later barrel. And we've seen some guns from the 20's with perchbellies, and we've seen some early guns that sold much later, and we've seen guns that went back for factory work. And we've seen guns with swapped parts.

I'm guessing Fug ain't buying guns with swapped parts too often, so probably they shipped late or went back for factory work.
