My son and I both hunt with Browning Mirage Hunter 90's that were given to us by a loving wife/mother for Christmas 1989 and we've hunted with them every year since. Now I need to replace the cables (torque synchronizer Loop Cables) and PSE doesn't have a clue. Would any of you guys be able to advise a source? I'd like to stay with the original style cables which are steel covered with plastic with torque synchronizers.
This is probably a long shot but a lot of people read these campfire posts, maybe someone can help.
Mike

You could probably buy the entire bow for almost nothing on eBay.

Mike,

Hoffmans Archery in Warrenton, VA could probably do the replacement for you. If you call, ask for Farren or Carl, they should be able to help you.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies.

I've tried the ebay thing hoping to buy an entire bow for parts ... no luck.

I'll call Hoffmans in Warrenton.

Thanks again!!!

Justaguy, If it's a Mirage with the torque synchronizers built into the cables it will be the correct bow. Let me know. You can email me at VA.BowhunterVerizon.net .

FYI trivia: About 1994 they changed the cable system to fast flight and called it the Ballistic Mirage which I don't want. Browning even offered a small kit to help change the Hunter 90 cables over to fast flight (I have 2 of those kits). Back in the late 1990's Browning Archery told me that a lot of those conversions resulted in broken/failed limbs and they no longer recommended converting Hunter 90 cables to fast flight.

Our bows that were made in 1990 and they are very accurate and shoot 255fps and 270fps (my son was shooting 292fps at one time with his bow set at 65lbs.) with the old original Beman Hunter arrows (which are very hard to get but I have a "stash"). We're still kinda living in the early 1990's but we sure are happy and don't spend thousands of dollars every year or two on new bows and equipment. Ain't life great?
