Do you have inside pets? Where do they sleep at night? We have wall to wall dog beds in our bedroom.

Our Jack Russell, Bullet, used to sleep between my wife and I in bed. 20 pound cover stealer. Had to have him put down last Friday, so he's asleep forever, now.

Sorry to hear that Keith, what happened? I'm a dog lover. Cats, the rare one.
We have an Australian Shepard, that is the farm dog, but is moving inside more all the time, and a spoiled Sheltie that sleeps wherever he likes, but he prefers barking, and eating to sleep. Then there is the little terrier that someone must have dumped off, he has a plastic tank converted to a doghouse bedded with straw. Sort of an igloo.
These premises insured by a Sheltie in Training ,--- and Cooey.o "May the Good Lord take a likin' to you"

Our 40# mutt, Twiggy, sleeps on her doggie bed, which is on the floor beside our bed.

I have a 20 lb. Treeing Feist that prefers to sleep between my knees. Makes for a good warmer when it is cold and my knees are aching.

Pets are in the house, or you can't pet them.

All of mine sleep on their side.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Right now, there are two rat terriers, a pit mix, and my 4yr old asleep on the couch. The 4yr old will soon be toted off to her bed. The dogs would happily go with her if I'd let them. They generally have to settle for the couch.
Now with even more aplomb

German Shorthaired Pointer sleeps in her crate, the Mini dachshund sleeps on the bed and the cat sleeps any damn place she chooses.
There are 2 rules to success:
1. Never tell everything that you know.

No dogs on the couch here, but they do get up on the bed. Can't fit the couch in the washing machine.
Our lab had to be put down last fall. We are awaiting a Pudelpointer pup sometime this summer.

Our mini dachshund sleeps under the covers on our bed. Our white cat and gray cat both sleep on our bed...one by my head and one by my feet. Our tortie shell cat sleeps on top of my dresser [and my "cuddle duds"]. Typically, our coy-dog sleeps on my recliner and Mark's bird dog sleeps on our loveseat.

The cat sleeps outside or somewhere indoors, who knows where.
The dog, a dachshund, started out sleeping in a kennel carrier in our room but now sleeps on the bed.

My hounds are just like the rest of the Riff-Raff that shows up around here after dark--they will crawl up on any empty bed they can find.
