I used to argue with this POS on the Obama forums when they were up and runnig. He's the head guy of a black militant group in Texas and this was his avatar. His office rent, supplies and payroll are totally funded by government grants. Damn sad. Theres a slew of other southern flags that no one gives a chit about either. Flying the battle flag is like flying a swastica and saying you just like the shape. Interesting enough that over here it is not seen as racial, rather it is seen as a call to resistance, much like flying the Southern Cross (Eureka flag).

KKK pretty much put the race cap on it. Funny, the only reason it looks the way it does was that the first national was confusing in battle.

I wonder if the same attention and enforcement of the "rules" would have been exercised had he worn an Malcolm X T-shirt or one that depicted Black Panther images?
Sad thing is that neither student nor the administrators took the time to research the origin and true meaning of that flag....heck, I'm a "Yankee" by birth and I know those things. Maybe because I chose to educate myself on a variety of topics with an open mind.... Point well taken.

Shocking! Today the student with a Confederate flag is expelled; tomorrow, it'll be the student with a Nazi flag.  The Confederate Flag represents a place in the history of about 25% of this country. Fraternity shuts Ole Miss branch after noose tying
PUBLISHED: APRIL 17, 2014
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) � A national fraternity group has closed its University of Mississippi chapter after three members were accused of tying a noose around the neck of a statue of the first black student to enroll in the then-all white Southern college.
The university announced Thursday that the national office of Sigma Phi Epsilon, based in Richmond, Va., had closed its Ole Miss chapter.
The names of the three students haven't been released. They were kicked out of the fraternity.
Besides the noose, someone draped a pre-2003 Georgia state flag with a Confederate battle emblem in its design on the face of the James Meredith statue in the pre-dawn hours of a Sunday morning in February.
Ole Miss spokesman Tom Eppes says the students face university disciplinary proceedings and the FBI is investigating.

An odd tidbit - the swastika (although reversed) was an old indian peace symbol, here in the southwest.
