Ha,
You're probably the same bastid that bought a large dig kennel for $2 from my wife at our yard sake a few years ago. I went in the house to get a cup of coffee and when I came out this guy was literally running down the street to his truck!!
On another note, I still have my Model 77 (magazine fed) that my grandmother bought at the local Gamble's Store for my 14th birthday.

Several years ago I satisfied an almost fifty year desire and got a Nylon 66. I probably would have liked it better when I was a kid and had good eyes and no sense of what a trigger should be like, but it's still fun.
I can't remember the name of the place, but down around Gloversville NY there's a sporting goods shop and they have a small room off to the side of the gun dept. with the walls covered with (what I assume is) the owners collection of nylon Remingtons. My guess is there's one of every model in every color. its called Lock, stock and barrel ,he has quite a personal collection ,he currently has one of the Remington nylon lever's for sale ,little under $1500.00 ,it's located in Palatine bridge NY

Big7mag: Good for you - that is a great deal (steal?) on that 66. I am a big garage/estate saler myself. Try to never miss'em. Last weekend I got four knives at $5.00 per each - all were U.S.A. made, one was a Gerber folder, a fixed blade Buck R.M.E.F. commemorative and two Schrade 3 blade pocket knives. But none of those compare to your Nylon 66 deal. Again good for you and many happy returns of the day. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I did get a like new black and chrome nylon rem 22 for $175 in a garage sale last year. Guy promised it worked. It didnt, until I pulled a 22 short hull out of the action.
I sold it for about $450 at a gun show.

Ironically Remington had a life time warrenty on the stock Well they didnt concider me (IDIOTBOY)
I didnt know how to clean it so I would just spray gun scrubber in it by the can well one day I believe that the residue ignited and spit the rear of the stock
I sent it to Remigton It went in faux wood grain and came back Apache black

Im actually on the lookout for guns all the time. This month I've got a remington 700 sps 7mm with a prostaff 3-9x50. And a ruger m77 mkII 300 wsm with alone scope and quite a few shells for both. I bought them for $725 from a guy. And on a local gun site, I got a savage 210 12 gauge slug gun and a rem adl 700 30-06 for $500 together from a guy and then the nylon 66 for 50! It's been a good month! But my favorite find was probably my savage 10ml I got a couple years ago at the flea market. It was camo and stainless and had a nikon buckmaster. The guy had been selling Saturday and Sunday and I bought it Saturday for 300. I guess no one knew what it was!!
