Here is a group my son shot with his new 6.5-284 off of his pickup tailgate. Borden Alpine in a Edge. #3 Contour 3 groove 8 twist Lilja. Jewell trigger. Talleys and a 4-12 VX-2 ( for now ). Liljas are excellent barrels. I have had excellent luck with several 7MM barrels over the years. Tell him, "nice shootin'".

The action is cut for the Wyatts.
All the parts were put together by John Brandstatter in Pueblo West, Colorado.
He re-barreled or built 6-7 for me in the last year and all of them have been very accurate.
This is the first one he built for my oldest son.

I've a couple of Lilja 6.5 three groove 1:8" barrels. I'm a fan.

Not too bad for a stone cold killer that isn't a paper shooter.
Just moved to Tucson and doesn't own a bench or belong to a club.
He would fit in here in Montana for sure, improvise!

John has his chit together. He trued a Mountain Rifle for me and put a Lilja MR contour on.
It is a 25-06 AI and shooting sub .75" with 100 BT's at just over 3500.
