Tikka T3 Lite stainless, T3 Varmint stainless, Sako 85 Finnlight.
Cant think of a US maker that still supports the cartridge. Cheers... Con

Not anymore. Sometimes I kick myself that I didn't buy one. Same with the 260.

powdr,
A LGS had a 338 Montana on the shelf for years. I think they still have it. Send me a PM if you're interested.

I'm pretty sure that Melvin Forbes at New Ultralight Arms would make a 338 Federal for you.
And he makes great rifles. I have six of them.

I did a search on Davidsons web and they no longer have it listed.
Personally I had one in a Tikka T3 and a Sako 85 but traded them away and I have not seen a new one for sale in a couple of years now.

At one time, Sako, Tikka, Kimber and Ruger all offered rifles in .338 Fed. Not sure about Sako and Tikka, but I think Ruger only offers .338 RCM now, versus .338 Fed., in their Guide Gun. I believe the only .338 Kimber offers now is .338 Win Mag. Shopping used may be your best option.

Montana Rifle Company chambers the 338 Federal. One of the XWR--SS makes a nice rig....
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

I guess I'll rebarrel my 722 or look for a used one. Thought I might find a TIKKA on the cheap. powdr

Still some around on occasion, but not easy to find. I believe Tikka and Sako still make them, just not imported here. Been awhile since I looked though.

I wish I had bought a Sako 85 in .338 Fed when they discontinued them and they were on gunbroker for 1/2 price.
Otto is my co-pilot.

Unfortunately, like the 358 Winchester, the 338 Federal seems doomed to a slow spiraling decline into oblivion. Both are excellent cartridges and deserve better.

Dpms makes an AR10 in 338 Federal.
