A-2 steel blued and etched. I picked up rust bluing equipment from my father-in-law for future knives.'

Slm Almost at the point to need the rape whistle again. Down almost 50lb. Getting ready for up coming(hope) three state elk safari.

Saw that layin on the bench last nite. You were passed out recouping from the all nite beaver hunt. Started to leave my Case trapper in its place, sometimes its hard to be an honest man. Pitcures dont do it justice, that is one amazing knife.

I seldom carry my own. Dowell, Bose or Vintage. I have never used a2 so trying to get a feel how it works in the field.

I think you'll like the A2. Been carrying one bout a year now and love it. Takes a wicked edge and holds up real good.

Looks to sharpen rather nice. You spoke about the spring it seems to be the best feeling which I have tried. I ordered two sheets

Most anybody can make a knife if they keep after it. I have made lots of mistakes to learn from. Thanks Rick Menefee
