The 75 Amax can vary quite a bit in it's expansion.

My gun likes the 75gr VLD over RL15. Makes a bit over 3,000fps.

Now with even more aplomb

I've piled up quite a few with the 75 Berger VLD's at 3075.

Works really well.....

What barrel length are you shooting to get 3000 fps out of the 75 gr pills?

Why I ask is Im thinking of putting a 9 twist 16 inch Savage together to make a handy calling rifle. Would be 23 inch over all with can included.

I'm running benchmark and 75 amax's. 3100 from a 21" 3 groove 8 twist barrel. It's warm but that's where the node was. I've got about 12 boxes left so I hope they get them online again soon.

I form with 69g or 77g cc 2nds. They're cheap and shoot well too and I always have a bunch on hand for the ar's.

Bryant, just got a can of the 8208XBR, are you in the 25ish range with it in your gun?
