I have worked up a load in the new 375 Ruger Guide Gun. 77.5grs. of RE-17 and a 300gr.RN Item # 3720 using WLRM primer. First two shot was in the same hole with next right beside the first two. I have not chronographed load yet. I e-mailed Hornady if they was going to continue this bullet in their line or the 300gr.DGX Item #3721 is replacing it. Will be using this rifle for elk hunting this year and wondering if the 300gr.DGX bullet will work for reliable expansion on elk size game if Hornady discontinues the standard 300gr.RN Item #3720

Use the 300 gr. Sierra. It will kill elk as well as any unless elk become armour plated this summer.

I like the 260 accubond over RL-15. 2860 fps and very accurate. Worked great on zebra, kudu, and gemsbok so I think elk would be fine too. I've carried that load for elk here in Idaho but didn't see any elk that day. It depends on where you hut but around here the flatter trajectory of the 260 nab is an advantage.

Finding Nosler Accubonds in 375 caliber is like finding a needle in a haystack in my area and online. Area that I hunt in furthest shot would be 200yds. at the max. Closet shot would be 10yds. If I hunt in any extended range then that I will use the 270wsm with 140gr. Nosler Accubonds.

I've used them with great success in both a 375 Ruger and in my 375 Wby chambered early Sako.

Found some 300gr. Nosler Partitions yesterday at a local sporting goods store. Going to try them and see if I can get group like I did with the Hornady RN bullets. I have 65rds. of the Hornady 300gr. RN bullets loaded and going to range today with the chronograph to see what velocity I am getting with the 20" barrel in the 375 Ruger Guide Gun. That way I can compare with the 300gr. Partitions when I load them.
Thanks. Will keep you posted.

Just got back from the range. Chronograph the Hornady 300gr. RN load. Lowest was 2476fps. and highest is 2506fps. Average was 2488fps. Out of the 20" barrel Guide Gun. Now I will load some 300gr. Nosler Partitions.

To each their own, but I've found that a 270 grain Barnes TSX over 81.5 to 82 grains of Ramshot Big Game and a F215 delivers an honest 2700+ fps in my 20" barreled Ruger Alaskan is a load that will be VERY hard to beat, not just on elk, but on anything else big and tough.
