I recently had a question on the forum regarding suppressors and I went ahead and got one.

I had a few issues with the reflex type suppressor they sent me as the company I bought it from had calibration issues with their cnc machine and the gun shot like a shotgun with the first suppressor I received from them. I had a few other issues but the suppressor they gave me to use while they sort out their problems works quite well. This is not a reflex type.

They do make a nice thread protector to use when I decide to hunt without the suppressor.

Regarding accuracy, it seems like it would shoot various loads more accurate than before using the suppressor. But I have to ad that it shot really well with my best hand loads before the suppressor was added.

Groups was shot at 100m.

Here is a picture of the hottest load I tried with sierra 215s

Here are three different loads at 100m. The nr.2 load was 4 shots. The no.1 group was 3 shots shot with a different primer. The nr.3 group was 3 shots with the same primer as nr.2

All of the groups was shot with 215 Sierras.

They over the counter for you guys?

I was at the range on Friday with a buddy of mine and had a couple of my suppressors with me. I told him they should give a suppressor away with every rifle you buy. Just makes the whole experience that much more pleasant. Quieter, less recoil, etc.

C98n, they are over the counter around here. I think suppressors might be the only rifle related item that costs less here than in the US.

Recoil felt to me less than my 30-06 and I shot it a few times without hearing protection and it really was not very loud. I almost went with a ASE Ultra after the problems I experienced initially but the one I have on there now does a pretty good job.
