I don't have any of those bullets so I don't know, but the cylinder is long enough to accept a load using the Lee 310 gr. gas checked bullet, even crimped in the rear groove. The only problem with this load is that the throats are too tigbt to allow the round to fit all way into the cylinder. I'll either have to drop my charge with this bullet and seat it deeper to the forward crimp groove or find a different heavy with a shorter bearing surface.

629 Mtn Gun Cylinder Length: 1.705
M69 L Frame Cylinder Length: 1.670

(Note: The M69 cylinder is 1.670 inches and isn't recessed for cartridge rims -- a 1.712" hand load fits, but is right at the face of the cylinder. Lymans No 49 edition shows OAL w their 425421 Keith Bullet is 1.710". A .429 minus plug gauge will enter all throats a .430 plug will not.)

Just loaded a 250gr Keith (Lyman 429421 from Western Bullet Co.) and when seated to the top of the crimp grove, the OAL is 1.690" in Starline .44 Mag cases.

I don't do many full house loads.. I do need to develop a bear load with 300 grain bullets, but there is just sooo much fun stuff to do now, I have been slacking..

Me either and don't blame you.

We just went caught trout for a couple hours. Loading bench doesn't appeal to me this time of year.

My 629-6 4inch. I wanted the 3in Talo 629 and couldn't find one. So I ordered the grips from handgungrips.com and they look great on the 4in gun IMO.

Thank you. It is a shooter too. I don't do much paper shooting just plinking here and there and with Hornady 240gr xtp and 225gr ftx. I would fell comfortable taking a deer inside 100yards.

I find the Hornady ammo to be pretty hot stuff compared to others I have shot. Also very accurate.

Didn't get a pic of the Redhawk, but maybe this 38/44 Heavy Duty will suffice?

I carry this 629-4 when in Griz Country. It's my third, and they've all been great.

My only 44 Special ---- Carried much more than the 629.
