Those look pretty nice.

But it's a 29-2. I can't put rubber on it. I gots to look good when I miss what I'm shooting at.

In essence here, we have sig line material.

If you want it to look good, don't put a rubber on it.

Unless you've got huge paws, put on something a little to the slim side with finger grooves, then you'll look good & hit what you're shooting at more often.............thank me later.

I don't like finger grooves.

Color me [bleep].

I'm off to get a Smith and Wesson forum account and look for this Kulak guy. I hope that website is a bully free zone.

I had a pair of Miculeks on a M625 for a season or so, and I hated them. This was back in '03 or so. They just didn't fit my hand. I couldn't maintain a consistent grip on it, and the trigger reach was too long.

I like the Roper grip better, and Herrett's does have some nice wood if you request (and pay for) it. I also really like some of the Altamont grips, like the Skeeter Skelton knock-off on the top gun in this photo:

Rubber for stainless

[Linked Image]

S&W did sell the Hogues with the metal medallions for a couple years. They look nice but will cut you with full house .44 loads.

For a blued M29, I too would go to Herretts for the Ropers, in burled walnut. But I might need to visit the S&W forum, myself smile

You can also find a bunch of them on Feebay:

Thanks TeX.

I think I am going to order all three and sell what I don't like.

Or maybe keep them and find more N-Frames for them?

I am surprised none of you cheap bastards have some Miculeks to give away.

On a DA 4" .44 mag with full power loads, rubber is kinda nice, just doesn't always look nice. With reduced loads, wood is just fine.

For a single action, it's always wood. Rubber hurts like hell on a SA.

Sleep well just knowing that if I had any, I'd surely be giving them to you..........that thought alone has to be very comforting.
