jt402 Campfire Regular J Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 2,691	I have a couple that came with the front factory mounted hanger on the end cap. Both Mounties are also factory equipped. The rest are mounted on the magazine tube. Cheap, quick, and easy. Even if I'm not using a sling, a simple leather carry strap is in my day pack. I may order a band with the front swivel attachment for a couple. It is neater. Mossyoak1957 Campfire Regular M Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 590 Pennsylvania	I don't like the clamp on magazine band set up at all,it looks cheesy to me.Also I think it puts more stress on the magazine tube. I like the factory look If you have a Marlin without the swivel on the band it's an easy fix. The magazine tube is not under all the much stress, as the sling isn't as tight as a Kardashian's jeans. And a lot safer than the relatively thin wood of the forearm piece.
