This is one of my favorite rifles and will most likely regret selling it. Easily shoots under an inch with 225 Accubonds over Reloader 15. Action is really slick and have less than 200 rounds down the tube. It started life as a 30/06 that I had rebarreled.

I have taken it on three hunts and killed two black bears and one elk. There are two small scratches on the stock that I tried to capture in the photos. Cerakote is perfect. I am happy to take more pictures and send by email. Just PM with your email address. The rifle has not been bedded.

Rifle specs:

Carl Gustaf "Swede" Deluxe (CG 1900)
Douglas Barrel - 23.75 (measured from the front of the receiver)
McMillan Sako Hunter stock LOP 13 7/8" factory brown with black webbing
Trigger set to 3lbs
Talley one piece rings
"Tungsten Gray" Cerakote by our very own Eddief
Weighs 7lbs 9oz with the rings

1150.00 shipped and insured to the lower 48.

Thanks,
Andy

The Bolt shroud is a dead giveaway. These are very slick actions for 2 lugs. Should be a trigger adj screw in the tang under the shroud.

Did this perchance start out in life as a Smith and Wesson? I have a carbine in 30-06 and love it.

HM,

This rifle was originaly named "Husqvarna (HVA) 1900" when production started in 1968, and was a cost cutting measure because the HVA 1640 became to costly. In 1969 HVAs gun division was sold to the goverment owned Carl Gustaf/FFV and they continued to produce these rifles untill production ceased in 1978 under the name "Carl Gustaf (CG)1900". Production of the CG 1900 ceased for the same reason as for the HVA 1640, it became to expensive to produce.

This rifle have for the last 30 years really been the Swedes and Norwegians riflemans rifle, like the Winchester M70 have been for the americans. In my opinion this rifle is light, reliable, accurate and have perhaps one of the smoothest actions ever made.

After production ceased in Sweden, many copys where made because this was a truly popular rifle. Most known of these are the Italian firm Antonio Zoli, who still produce copys of this rifle (with small modifications) under the name "Antonio Zoli 1900". I dont know if these Zoli rifles are aviable in the US though...

Prior to importing rifles from Howa, S&W imported Husqvarnas in the late 1960s and early 1970s, initially with the HVA action and later with the 8000/9000 action. This action does not have any S&W markings. Only says Carl Gustaf on the action.

Best 2 lug push feed I ever saw, maybe some high dollar stuff can come close. Love mine, took it out and decided not to sell it after all. (trying to thin the herd)

OK, thanks for the info. Those actions are getting much harder to find and like everyone said, they might be one of the very best 2 lug actions ever made. I had three 1900's, all in 30/06 and sold one several years ago. I still have and unfired 1900 "Swede" straight combed with a cheek piece and Schnabel forend that I found out over on Gun Boards is a rare model in the US. The other I turned into a rig similar to yours with a McMillan stock and Hart barrel finished in Black-T.
