Definitely not my style but at least he had the foresight to leave a smooth cheek rest.

Did the cp come from the factory with the ports. Hard for me to understand on a 357. I have an 1894 Sporter without the carving. Love mine but it is heavier than I thought it would be, but shoots fantastic. Reminds me a lot of my 444.

Yea All the "P" guns are ported. Makes no sense to me on any of them, especially the 357 and 44. But even my 444P had just as noticeable recoil as my 444S so really i dont see the need for the ports at all.

Little shop in yazoo county Appreciate that. Never know what you might find in the little out of the way places.

I'm from up Tupelo way........another good place to find deals is Gary's in both West Point and Columbus. Hunters Haven here in town has sucked ever since they quit dealing in used firearms.

The ports are great for getting the a-hole at the range that doesn't have the courtesy (or brains) to use a brass catcher on his AR to move down a few benches.
Never saw the saddle ring conversion before. Great idea by someone! I'm not a fan of saddle rings but I like the safety's even less.
Nice score!

FieldGrade, Good idea on ported rifles! I know i got a LOT of smirks when shooting my 16" ported 358 Winchester and my Ruger Scout 308. Folks didn't care for that muzzle blast!
You can buy safety deletes without the saddle ring as well. Looks like screw heads

I've heard talk about the safety delete but never looked into it because both of my Marlins are pre safety. The saddle ring piece is new to me though and a great idea. I put one of Henry's saddle ring conversions on my 22mag. It rattled so bad I couldn't get it off of there fast enough but the one you posted appears to be allot better made. My 1946 M39 and 1976 44M.
