The best spin cast reels I need to set up fishing rods and reels for my grandkids and can't make myself buy china crap so which of the old ones were the best?

Any one remember the 600? It was black aluminum . I had one when I was a kid and they were pretty tough.

If you don't, it gets behind the spool and wraps around the axle. Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile. Happily Trapped In the Past (Thanks, Joe) Not only a less than minimally educated person, but stupid and out of touch as well.

I still have a Sabre that I haven't used since I was a kid.
