You're probably from Texas. Or Oregon.

I purchased the Yosemite last year mainly because of the positive comments posted here on the Campfire. Compact and lightweight. Decent glass. Center adjustment function could be improved.

Incredible value for the price.

Have a pair of the 6x for my son and the glass clarity is excellent.

I've got 2 pairs on order. Here's hoping I'll like the KoolAid.

Found a set in the bargain cave at cabelas. Asked if they would take less money for them, and the lady came back with an unblemished "used" pair for $55. Sold!

I'm probably wrong but I think the issue with the focusing knob rotation especially when starting to focus has to do with the type of seal that is used for waterproofing.

I've had mine for around four years. I keep them in a 17 ft aluminum bass boat and they've been bounced around some with no problems. It doesn't seem like it would make much difference but 6x is easier to use on an unstable platform than 8x.
