I posted this in the reloading forum and didn't get any responses. Has anyone used CFE pistol in a 45 load? Like it? Dislike it? I was able to pick up a pound the other day. Also I am still needing brass and round nose bullets if anyone knows of some reasonably priced.

Now therefore take , I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison ;

It is a good metering, medium burn rate powder. It is the ONLY medium burn rate powder that Hodgdon is going to ship for another year, as their Clays manufacturing line burned and is not yet operational (Universal, International & plain Clays).

All I use anymore is Starline brass, but you can check around for some once-fired. Missouri Bullet company is the easiest/cheapest for simple hardcast fodder.

I used it with a Hornady 230 grain round nose. It goes bang and seems to burn cleaner than unique. But then I never found unique all that dirty.

Very accurate..Lot of flash.. I took it down a bit, and used 5.5 with a 230, and 6.5 with a 200swc
I have quite a few pounds of it.
I am also trying the new be86, and it seems to be a great powder.

Try 25 & 50 yards and get back to us.

25 FEET is roughly the equivalent of falling down 4 times.

The popularity of IDPA & IPSC has ruined the accuracy game.
Go here with your "target" http://www.bullseyeforum.net/

Not saying that you or your gun aren't capable but posting pictures of targets literally spitting distance away serves no purpose.

Peace, 284

Just my 2 cents.

Don't really give a [bleep] what people think about how I shoot, or what I shoot, or how far I shoot.
You have no [bleep] idea of what my ability is, and I don't care if you find out.

Missouri bullet company is no longer taking internet orders from new customers last I heard. Round nose hard cast & brass has been very easy to find as of late. Gunbot.net is your friend.

Didn't mean to upset you. You missed the "Peace, 284" part.

My point was that 25 feet is hardly a good representation of what a component is capable of delivering.

25ft is good for pin shoots, falling plate shoots and self defense shoots, but otherwise said comment above is correct.
