It would be good to see David again. This thread has been going for quite a while - it would be helpful if he were to communicate his intent with this group, in some manner.

That is nice of you, Ken. Jim has not replied at all to that PM - would be great to have him with us again.

Kristy and the kids were just here at the shop. They said they were all coming! Saw pics of David's Wildebeest and his zebra!

Look's like my wife's surgery won't be done until August 26th, so myself and the two boys are as of now 97% sure of attending! I'm just keeping an eye on my mom too. She's not well.

Looking forward to seeing all!

Talked to Jim and he said it's "highly unlikely" he will make it. His son/wife are excepting a baby around that time frame.

One last heads up.

The shop that has the Winchester primers that I posted earlier also has...

8lb Kegs of Hodgdon H335 Spherical Rifle Powder for $169 plus tax if anyone is interested.

I can bring it to Quemado just give me a heads up.

Of course he should honor the director's selfless efforts to reduce if not eliminate the chaos that can occur when a lot of fun-loving folks come together for camaraderie.

We'll have to have Sister Sherman Tank rap him on the knuckles when he shows-up. laugh

I'll be sure to put a Chevy decal over the parts of my 4 Runner that says Toyota, before I get into New Mexico....

or is it suppose to say Chebby down that way?

Turkey Rim Shoot: @ 2:00 PM (dennisinaz and CCCC)

Any rifle shooting any rim fire cartridge using any sight from any hunting position but NOT from a bench or stationary rest. Sitting, prone, free-standing shooting sticks or tripod, etc. are OK. Target will be a reduced-size turkey at somewhere between 30 and 50 yards with a 1/2 dot at a vital place. The shooter makes 5 shots within a period of 2 minutes. Smallest 5 shot group HAVING AT LEAST ONE SHOT WITHIN THE DOT scores highest.

This one sounds like a really fun shoot! I am looking forward to it.

Well, Tom, folks suggested a rimfire shoot and I thought it would be good to have one that kids could enjoy too. Then, after concocting it a few days ago I was somewhat uncertain. But, I sent the description over to Dennis and he didn't say "no way". We may be good. He probably has a great rimfire.

Watch your tongue fella !!! And, there's no re-labeling that will make a Toyota look good - or acceptable - in these parts. grin

Paul my rimfire of choice for this is nothing to sneeze at, but the shooter may not be up to par. grin
