We should go shoot after a few rounds at the VFW.

It's funny how we can hit a steel plate 750 yards up the side of a mountain but miss a stupid dog right that are chip shots pretty much right in front of us.

Good times!

RJM and the FA @ 800ish. Little breezy out there. Made hits difficult. Still cool to watch.

.454's can usually be had for less. Lot of folks who don't handload bought them on a whim, then backpedaled after they realized how hard they kick with factory ammo. One of the local hoity toity shops had about a dozen used ones at one time.

Now the rare calibers, .44, .475, .500 WE, are normally bought by serious pistoleros who handload and those seldom turn up used.

I'd like to get one of the .475's but it won't get loaded full house. The darn things are like a 3 pound Swiss watch, they are so well made.

Had a .454 and killed a moose with it, antelope and deer. Finest action on a revolver out there. Lock up like a bank vault.

I hope between Mackay and Travis one of them buys the FA84/.44...too great a deal to pass up...

Yesterday was a breezy and overcast day. It had rained hard in the area where we were going to hunt p-dogs and the roads were "messy" to say the least.

Once to the dog town there were LOTS of targets of opportunity all of whom it seems escaped the rath of Travis' suppressed .308. The funniest one was the 30 pound p-dog who sat 40 yards from Travis as he showered him with dirt with shot after shot...I was laughing so hard I couldn't get my 57 out to take a shot...it was s great show.

Travis finally got serious about getting his guest some blood and got out a lust rifle of mine...a Remington 700 LVSF in .17 Remington...it simply cuts p-dogs in half...

We returned to Haver with what looked like half of Montana under the wheelwells. After luch it was hack to the range for one last session of long range shooting. As seen from the videos above it was a fun time. 800+ yards in the Montana crosswind is very challenging...

Travis the FA83...

So I am up early, packed and ready to move on...Travis and his lovely wife have been great hosts...

Next stop is to see P Weed in ND...a long days drive...Bob

That prairie dog wasn't an ounce over 20lbs. Don't exaggerate.

I kept yelling at Bob to shoot the GD things (we were looking for handgun targets) but I couldn't take it any more and opened fire.

Not the first p-dog to laugh at me. Won't be the last.

We could shoot our empties from out the back door!

Around these parts of MN, that wouldn't be viewed as anything TOO out of the ordinary. But I'm guessin the libtards down there might not think to highly of it...

Phugg 'em! Let's do it anyway!
