Anyone know anything about the Model 34? It has a 24" barrel with tube feed.

Ringman,
Sorry I didn't see your post earlier but I just haven't been online much.
My grandfather and father both have shot thousands of rounds through their 34's. They have both accounted for a ton of small game for each of them. Made of solid steel and wood - what's not to like? My son and nephew are set to inherit them in the near future and I have no doubt that they will continue to provide great fun for years to come.

Glad I read this. It caused me to check on my Ranger M34 I have had since 1988 that I assumed was a Rem 34. It is not. It is a Marlin 65. Being wrong for 28 years was long enough.

Great little rifle. Mine is the peep sighted model and is very accurate. They were only made for a few years IIRC, 1933 - 1936 or so.

One of those old classics that I ever knew about till I saw one. Bought 2 last year for $100 each OTD in good condition. Was a little concerned when saw the shell carrier raise up so far (thought it was broken)but it is just the design. Great rifle that is accurate, very reliable and in my case dirt cheap.

I got one years ago with a crushed stock for $30. I glued the stock back together and it works well. Somebody put a threaded barrel adapter on it and it has about a 1# trigger. Shoots well though. Looks like hell.
