After saving for a few years, we have enough to build the kitchen she wants, but the deal is that we continue to save at the same rate for my 6 car garage I've been wanting for a while too . Three weeks into the kitchen project, which also turned into a deck replacement. The Trex deck we had didn't come up too well for the addition, and we decided to go back with #1 pressure treated pine. Still a good 6 to 8 weeks to go, and I'm missing good home cooked food already. All separate installers. Wifey also found another carpenter that specializes in wood countertops for the island, hard maple with live edges. To anger a conservative, lie to him.
