#1 - I have a game cart with 20 inch pneumatic tires with inner tubes. Try as I may, I cannot get them to hold air even with the puncture resistant tubes. I would like to replace them with new rims/tires that do not require air. I know they won't roll as easy as pneumatic but I am fed up with flats. I am leaning toward sticking with 20 inchers because they will roll easier than the smaller ones plus my cart came from the factory with 20 inchers. Any suggestions on replacements? Also the axle diameter is 5/8" and not 3/4" like most carts so I would need a bushing of some sort too.

#2 - If I decide to replace my cart with a different one, based on the criteria below, what would you recommend?

1) I am a solo hunter with lower back issues (bulging discs)
2) 2-3 mile retrieval distance
3) Quartered or de-boned elk retrieval
4) Early season - snow not an issue
5) Mostly two track dirt/small rock roads - behind closed gates
6. Cactus is present

Thanks for the help.

This looks like a really great single wheel carrier to me.

Pack Wheel - Collapsible, lightweight

Anybody have any experience with one or know anyone who has?

Did you try filling the tires with "Slime"?

It worked for my commercial mower.

The harder a tire is, the easier it rolls, all else being equal. A solid rubber tire is about as easy to push/pull as they come as long as it's made of very hard rubber. It doesn't do much for cushioning, though.

No, and not sure I would want to at the pricing they show. Looks like a nice outfit, but way overpriced.

Why not just use a mountain bike "Ho-Chi-Minn style".

This is a great idea. I was attracted to the PackWheel because it used a bike rack, panniers and hand controlled disk brake. I really admire the structural wonders of the bicycle - nothing else I know of will carry a 200lb man at peak fitness hammering away in a race while weighing 20lbs.

But the "Ho Chi Minn" bike won't weigh less than 10 lbs, fold up to little bigger than the wheel and fit unobtrusively on a back pack like the PackWheel. The HoChiMinn bike for about $20 does win the best price contest going away.

NeetKart is a nice idea but too big I think for one person, especially compared to a 12lb PackWheel.

The rack packer is also a good idea but a separate pack frame has a lot of drawbacks vs. an integral pack frame. Also the wheel looks too small, likely to hang up or drop into holes. I think a 20" bike wheel is probably the smallest wheel I'd use.

I think what I want is a $20 HoChiMinn PackWheel.
