Anyone run a #4 Bartlein or Light Palma in a Rem Classic?
Now on to Compact - how heavy a contour can you go?

I've got a #3 Bartlein (same as #4 Brux) in a Compact. It's pretty tight. I wouldn't try to put a #4 Bartlein in one. Rem Classic should be fine, although the largest contour I've used in a Classic is a #3 Brux.

The max they will inlet a Compact is Bartlein #3 with 1.5" cylinder

A number 4 Bartlein would fly well in a Classic.

Sounds like a #3 carbine would do well in a Compact, and a #4 or LP would be fine in a Classic. Believe specs show up to a 5 in a Classic. Not a fan of a clubby wide forearm stock for a sporter/stand rifle.
Seems someone had a neat 358 on the board, in a wild Swirly compact, and it was around a 19-20" and it seems a heavy sporter like a 3, IIRC.
Thanks for the feedback folks.

Why the classic? I feel like the comb height isn't tall enough.

In the picture the left one is a #3 Brux in a Classic, plenty of room for a #4.

Thanks for the feedback folks. six-five......That may have been me you were thinking about. I've got a 358 Win with a 18-1/2" Pac-nor #3, which is similar to a Brux #3. In a compact swirly.

DC - I mount low OM - thanks for pics 257 - that's the one, good looking kill stick, efficient. What do you run a 200 or 225s?

200 Hornady's are all I'll ever need. Never shot it for groups. Just sighted it in and it's been deadly on caliche rocks. It will be in the rotation this season and I'm definitely going to shoot something after laying off for 2 years due to the drought.
