I'm just a hobbyist (at best) but I thought I'd post a few pix of a knife I worked on for a good friend over in OR.
I have the same knife in factory form for comparison.

Take it easy on me,,, I'm sensitive. smile

Good job! Careful you don't get hooked. Knife making can be very addictive!

Nice work. Does look better than factory to me. Never understood a thong hole big enough for a rope. Just my opinion and I am way over here in Georgia.

I think the one you worked on for your buddy looks WAY better. I like the two pins and the smaller diameter lanyard tube you used on the scales for your buddy's knife. Nice work...on the sheath too...!

Looks real good. What kind of wood? Your sheath stitching looks uniform - it ain't easy. Congrats!

Cocobolo supplied by the owner. He gave me a lifetime supply of the stuff for my efforts. smile

Thanks for noticing the stitching. That's my best effort yet.
I even got all the stitches to land in the stitch grove on the back side. That's definitely a first for me.

There was a time when I'd never show the back of one of my sheath's.

The middle pin was a no brainer since there was a diamond shaped hole hiding under the rubber scales. I had to open it up with a burr but that didn't take any time.

Wish I was a better photographer. frown

Awesome job Charlie. You have always been good at scales. Your sheath work keeps getting better and better. That one is very nice, as was your last one before it.....

I have to confess that I'm the lucky bugger that's on the receiving end of all of Charlie's hard work and effort and I can't hardly wait to receive it.
I also have to say that Charlie's work is absolutely exemplary and pics just don't seem to do it justice, he's a real craftsman and his love of craft is truly reflected when you hold and admire his work in hand. My wife and I cherish a cocobolo scaled Green River camp knife he made and sent our way last year that is the cornerstone knife in our kitchen.
Bear season starts tomorrow and my belt has a spot waiting for the knife to arrive........ Whoop whoop !!!!!

I'll be at the post office when they open here in the next few hours Bob.
Priority should have it there in a couple of days.
Hope you get a Bear. Don't ask me to eat any of it though. wink grin
